Wandering the streets of Villanueva de los Infantes (Ciudad Real), an old door caught my eye — looked forged at first, but then I realized it was carved wood. I took the chance to shoot some architectural symmetries and textures.

Yeah, later I found out it's the Casa Palacio de la Rebuelta, a Renaissance manor house from the 16th century. Wildly enough, those doors are original from that period. Taking a little piece of history home with you — pretty rewarding.
As you can see, the photo isn't anything special compared to the quality and sharpness the big-shot photographers pull off, but when your subject is that strong, quality takes a back seat. Remember we're still learning, and these shots aren't for entering contests — they're for enjoying with the folks around us, or putting them out for critique on socials. We've still got a lot of shooting left to do...
